Backstory: Morgan Kendrick was born in a small town in the mountains of West Virginia to Margaret Anne and Robert Kendrick -- a secretary and an aspiring Senator. As the oldest of five, she was relied on often to care for her younger sisters and treated much like a third parent. She deeply despised this, and wanted nothing more than to escape from the drudgery of being treated as little more than a maid and a nanny. She also bucked up against her father's Baptist background and the growing influence of fundamentalism. She was never able to be a perfect, well-behaved girl. This caused a lot of friction between herself and her father -- which eventually escalated to physical and emotional abuse. By the age of seventeen, she'd had enough of the bullshit and, with what little money she'd saved from birthday and christmas cards from her grandmother, she ran away from home. This did not turn out well for her. She fell into a bad crowd, ended up falling for a guy that was just the *worst* idea to fall for and ended up becoming a vampire and causing pain and horror everywhere she went with this guy. I'm not exactly sure what all she did or who the guy is so that's up to the ST.
