Every once in
awhile, seemingly more often than
I'd like, I feel the desperate
need to nuke everything and start
over. This is the first time I've
fully nuked this website
and started completely from
scratch, though. I've been
having a lot of thoughts and
feelings about things lately --
which isn't surprising given the
absolute fucking state of
the world, especially the United
States (where I live). But
specifically, I've been diving
into nostalgia and looking
explicitly into things like
vintage digital cameras,
old-school mp3 players and even
film cameras -- though I haven't
really been able to get majorly
into that hobby yet... I did
buy a nicer film camera than
my Kodak m35 but sadly, I think
it broke in transit or I fucked
it up trying to load film into it
because I might be a little
bit clumsy.
Funnily though, I've managed
to get what I think is a pretty
decent start into photography as
an actual hobby now,
even if I still don't have any
actual pro-level equipment. I
came to TX to see my partner in
November with two cameras: an
older Instax and my yellow Kodak
M35, "Sunny". I'll be leaving
Texas with the following:
-
"Sunny" Yellow Kodak
M35 35mm film camera
-Shaper Image Branded FujiFilm
Instax Camera
- KS II Super 35mm film camera
from Sears (1970s-1980s)
- Polaroid One Step Instant
Camera (unsure of date)
- Canon Digital Rebel EOS XT
(2005)
-Vivitar Vivicam f124 (2009-2012)
The real steal
here is the Canon, I think, which
I spent like, 70$ on total
(including battery charger, CF
card, card reader and lens
adapter). Since the KS II Super
is broken, I nabbed the lens off
it for the Canon using a lens
adapter -- which renders all the
autofocus modes on the camera
essentially useless but I don't
care lol.
Uh anyway. I
guess that's all I've got for
now, lol.
